What is a Sphygmomanometer?

Sphygmomanometer is a device for measuring blood pressure. Today there are 3 types. mercury, air and electronics. Pneumatic and mercury types are usually used with a stethoscope.

Blood pressure is defined as the pressure inside the vessels or blood pressure in the artery.

Large blood pressure (systolic) is the blood pressure that occurs when the heart pumping the blood into the artery, or the blood pressure of the blood in the blood vessels is higher than normal.
