Lectonencephalography is the process of evaluating the electrical activity of the brain. The human nervous system contains about 10 billion nerve cells. Most of these are in the brain, the rest is in the spine and in other parts of the body, where the related nerves are. Each brain cell is associated with 5,000 to 50,000 nerve cells. Nerve fluxes are transported along the nerve fibers and lead to electrical waves in the brain. These electric waves can be measured on the scalp. These signals are transferred to a special amplifier with electrodes placed in specific parts of the scalp. The amplified signals in this amplifier are evaluated by a neurologist by a computer and EEG program help. In case of sara (epilepsy), degenerative brain diseases, central nervous system infections, psychiatric and neuropsychiatric disorders there are certain changes in the brain electrical signals. Interpretation of these changes provides valuable information that helps physicians to make decisions in the diagnosis of diseases and the effectiveness of the treatment applied and in monitoring the course of the disease. In some cases, such as slow virus disease and hepatic encephalopathy, EEG can be used to obtain a definite conclusion for clinical diagnosis. Electroencephalography or EEG is a method of measuring the electrical activity of brainwave activity. As the patient is not given an electric, no pain is felt.
